WCMTOA, the West Coast Terminal Operators Agreement, needed a common way to manage drayage truck registration and compliance across major U.S. West Coast ports, where multiple terminal operators were handling tens of thousands of truck movements each day. They turned to Advent Intermodal Solutions’ eModal Drayage Truck Registry (DTR) to standardize truck fleet, driver, and RFID tag management.

Advent Intermodal Solutions implemented a cloud-based eModal DTR solution integrated with WhereNet RFID systems to validate truck access in real time and enforce port program compliance. The result was a single self-service truck database for the West Coast that simplified administration for terminal operators and supported validation of more than 23,000 trucks per day, with the system operational in just four months.
