UW Carbone Cancer Center Gains Visibility into Site Accrual with Insights

The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center, the only NCI‑designated cancer center in Wisconsin with over 300 faculty and more than $130M in research funding, faced a time‑consuming, manual struggle to answer leadership and grant‑reporting questions about site accrual. Standard and custom OnCore and Jasper reports, spreadsheets and ad‑hoc calculations left gaps in visualization and required repeated runs to get the right answers, so UW Carbone turned to Advarra’s Insights to streamline accrual reporting and analytics.

Advarra implemented Insights—giving UW Carbone quick access to over 20 turnkey dashboards (including Summary This Year, Accrual Breakdown, Accrual Demographics and PI Active Protocol Summary) that let administrators set and track goals, filter by sponsor/protocol type, spot trends and intervene early.
