The Top-30 Pharmaceutical Company ran two phase 3, multicentre, randomized double‑blind dermatology studies across 164 sites in 20 countries with ~1,000 participants to recruit. They needed a centralized, on‑demand training and onboarding solution to ensure consistent protocol training, documents, and visit support across regions — a challenge addressed by Advarra using its Longboat portal.

Advarra implemented the Longboat portal (21 CFR Part 11‑compliant) with animated protocol/GCP training, a central document repository, and a visit‑planning tool. Recruiting sites completed 31% and 51% more portal tasks and logged 37% and 56% more portal sessions in study 1 and 2 respectively than non‑recruiting sites; top sites far exceeded expected shares (Trial 1: +130% patients, +31–37% tasks/sessions; Trial 2: +157% patients, +51–56% tasks/sessions). Advarra’s Longboat clearly correlated higher site engagement with materially improved recruitment and site willingness to join future trials.
