Wide Temperature Mobile Wireless Solutions for In-vehicle IP Camera Application

US Vehicle Company needed a rugged in-vehicle IP camera and fleet-monitoring solution that could handle constant vibration, shock and a wide temperature range while providing reliable 4G/LTE communications. Advantech answered the requirement with its Embedded Fanless Box PCs (ARK-2151V, ARK-2121V, ARK-2231R) paired with the EWM-C117FL LTE module to deliver mobile connectivity and high computing power for multiple onboard IP cameras.

Advantech implemented the ARK series with the EWM-C117FL module (4G/LTE Cat.4, up to 150 Mbps downlink) in a mini PCIe form factor tested for -40 to +85 °C operation and produced to ISO/TS 16949 standards. The deployment enabled continuous, high-speed vehicle-to-control-center communication across regions and bands, simplified integration for small-series manufacturing, and delivered measurable benefits including wide-temperature reliability, 5-year product longevity, and robust 4G performance.
