Remote Evaluation of Intel Select Solutions for NFVI

Intel faced the industry-wide challenge of speeding NFV adoption by giving service providers verified, workload-optimized infrastructure that reduces integration risk and shortens evaluation cycles. Advantech partnered with Intel on the Intel Select Solutions for NFVI program, validating two platforms (the SKY-8201 carrier‑grade server and FWA‑6170 network appliance) and offering them via its Remote Evaluation Service and the Intel Select Solutions for NFVI Test‑Drive Portal (iss.testdrive-advantech-nfv.com) so customers can test NFV deployments without shipping hardware.

Advantech delivered pre-validated FWA‑6170 and SKY‑8201 configurations and a secure remote test portal that lets operators benchmark VNFs, validate service chaining and measure performance (platforms support up to 200 Gbps per RU and VNFs able to serve tens of thousands of subscribers). The Advantech solution reduced testing time and cost, minimized integration risk, and accelerated time-to-rollout for Intel Select Solutions for NFVI deployments by enabling early, realistic validation of edge NFVI configurations.
