Preview of the Military Solutions Provider Case Study

Military Surveillance Controller with Rugged MIO-2361 2.5” Pico-ITX SBC

The Military Solutions Provider, a 30-year veteran in designing rugged tactical computers, needed an ultra-compact, low-power embedded SBC with extended operating temperature (-40° to 85°C), rich I/O (dual LAN, UARTs, GPIO), and flexible expansion (M.2 E-key, mSATA) to build a proof-of-concept system on a very tight schedule. Advantech answered this requirement with its MIO-2361 2.5" Pico-ITX SBC as the candidate platform.

Advantech delivered the MIO-2361—featuring onboard LPDDR4, eMMC, dual GbE, multiple COM/USB/GPIO, TPM 2.0 and wide-temp operation—enabling a sealed, fanless controller design for large-scale surveillance. Advantech’s teams provided the sample, manuals, I/O definitions and drivers within two weeks, the customer completed testing and shipped the final working sample to their end user on time, and the project has a potential total demand of 2,000 pcs.
