Lossless Video over-IP Solution at the Erasmus University Hospital Rotterdam, The Netherlands

Erasmus University Hospital, the largest hospital in the Netherlands, set out to digitize 26 new operating rooms and replace paper, posters and analog workflows with a fully integrated, smart OR. The hospital required FHD surgical video streaming with lossless image quality, seamless source switching and zero latency — needs addressed by Advantech in collaboration with INTER, SigmaXG and Technolution using Advantech PAX surgical displays and integrated AVAS NDcoders.

Advantech delivered an integrated Lossless Video-over‑IP solution by embedding NDcoders into its PAX surgical displays and deploying all‑in‑one control PCs and the INTER ORflow dashboard for touch control, recording and streaming. The solution delivered near‑zero latency, surgical‑grade, up to 4K lossless video (FHD in this deployment), reduced system complexity and installation footprint, and enabled infection‑free workflows, door‑counting/intercom integration and improved OR efficiency across the new rooms.
