Intelligent Data Server for Medical Hospital Surgery Solution

North America Medical Institution and Hospital needed a scalable hospital data system to handle increased demand for surgical care: cloud-based services, surgical robots, medical devices, and a control tower to collect clinical and high-resolution surgical video for surgeon decision support. Advantech was selected to provide the server platforms and system components to meet high-performance compute, GPU-accelerated video analysis, and large, reliable video storage requirements.

Advantech implemented a three-tier control tower architecture using HPC-7242 + ASMB-815 for the control computer, HPC-7400 + ASMB-815 + NVIDIA Quadro P5000 GPUs for video analysis, and HPC-8212 + ASMB-786G4 + NVIDIA Quadro P2000 with RAID and 12 hot-swappable 3.5" bays for video storage. The solution delivered dual 10GbE connectivity, PCIe GPU expansion and up to a 20% bandwidth improvement on the storage node, enabling reliable capture, analysis and delivery of massive surgical video to surgeons and improving operational reliability; Advantech also provided extended warranty and product longevity support (5–7 years).
