Hot Runner Monitoring in Injection Molding Improves Product Quality

Hot Runner Suppling Korean Company, a Korea-based supplier of hot runner systems for injection molding, needed to reduce product quality variability caused by changing environmental conditions and complex, dynamic molding parameters. To add equipment- and environment-level monitoring and enable smarter control of temperatures, pressures, speeds and timings, they implemented an IoT solution based on Advantech’s Edge Intelligence Server (EIS).

Advantech delivered an EIS-D150 solution including WISE-PaaS/RMM, WebAccess/SCADA and HMI, Node-RED logic flow tools, and WISE-Agent with MQTT/Azure support to collect, visualize and act on large-scale sensor data at the edge.
