Global Lighting Providing Company, a global provider of lamps, luminaires and lighting solutions, needed to upgrade and expand its MES production‑tracking across its Malaysian front‑ and back‑end factories. Previously only front‑end lines (~400 touchscreen terminals) were integrated; the company wanted rugged, stylish 10–10.1” touchscreen MES terminals. Advantech supplied 10.1” All‑in‑One computers (UTC‑510/UTC‑510D) integrated with the MES production tracking system.

Advantech implemented slim, fanless UTC‑510D industrial AIO touch PCs (Intel® Atom™ E3825) and related UTC‑510 peripherals, deploying ~200 units in the first phase on back‑end lines with 75‑mm VESA mounts and integrated barcode scanners. The Advantech solution enabled touchscreen operation, instant barcode capture and cloud syncing to improve production tracking accuracy and efficiency, is easy to install and expand to additional lines, and presents a more professional factory appearance for customer visits.
