Fire Alarm System and Remote Monitoring Sytem in Shoe Factory in Indonesia

Shoe Company, an Indonesian shoe manufacturer with 13 production sites across 160 hectares, faced a critical challenge: its existing fire alarm system could not be monitored remotely and could not be re‑architected. The customer required SCADA connectivity, centralized alarm management, automated reporting, multi‑client access and 24/7 reliability. Advantech was chosen to provide the solution, using WebAccess SCADA along with ADAM remote I/O modules and EKI-5525 ProView switches.

Advantech implemented ADAM-6000/ADAM-5069 I/O, EKI-5525 switches and an IPC-5122 server running WebAccess to link existing smoke detectors and manual call points to a central control room and HTML5 BI dashboard. The deployment enabled centralized remote monitoring across all 13 sites, simultaneous access by multiple clients (eight PCs with effectively unlimited HTML5 users), automated daily/weekly/monthly/yearly reports, deterministic QoS traffic prioritization and immediate alarm actuation—delivering 24/7 monitoring, faster response times and improved protection of people and property.
