Europe PIS Providing Company needed a compact, high-performance Passenger Information Display System (PIS) capable of simultaneous streamed video broadcasts and instant database updates for passenger information and advertising. They required strong graphics performance and abundant I/O for peripheral integration, so they turned to Advantech and its EPC-T1227 platform.

Advantech delivered the EPC-T1227, featuring an AMD Radeon 3rd Generation GCN GPU supporting up to three independently operated DVI-D/HDMI/DP 4K displays, two GbE LAN ports for fast internal VPN and external Internet searches, a 1U thin design, multiple I/O (6×USB, 6×COM) and embedded OS/WISE-PaaS support. The solution enabled clear large-screen display of information, video and advertisements, faster database queries and flexible system integration while Advantech’s embedded OS support helped accelerate application development and resolve compatibility issues.
