Electric Vehicle Service Equipment Company - Customer Case Study

Electric Vehicle Service Equipment Company needed a reliable, low-cost industrial computing solution to power outdoor electric vehicle charging stations across Portuguese cities, handling card payments, multiple connector standards, and remote monitoring. Advantech supplied the hardware for this project, notably the UNO-2362G Embedded Automation Controller and ADAM series data gateways, chosen for their rugged, small-form-factor design and industrial feature set.

Advantech’s solution—UNO-2362G with an AMD Dual Core T40E, fanless operation, iDoor expansion and ADAM I/O gateways—enabled payment processing, display connections and real-time data relay to a central control center while supporting wide temperature operation (-10 to 60 °C). The deployment gave the customer the reliable, centrally manageable, cost-effective EV charging infrastructure they required, allowing secure card payments and remote monitoring across distributed stations.
