CNC Machine Manufacturing Company, a Taiwanese machine tool OEM with more than 50 years of experience, faced unreliable, labor-intensive manual spindle calibration and hard‑to‑detect chatter that degraded machining accuracy and slowed production. To add automatic spindle calibration and real‑time chatter measurement to existing machining centers without redesigning equipment, the company worked with Advantech to deploy an integrated, compact solution.

Advantech implemented its PPC-3100 panel PC, USB-4716 DAQ (200 kS/s, 16‑bit) with a customized R‑C filter, ADAM-3017 IEPE signal conditioning module, and DAQNavi software to collect high‑fidelity vibration data and run calibration/chatter analysis. The plug‑and‑play system avoided machine redesign, reduced calibration time and human error, enabled preventive maintenance and consistent calibration, and improved machining accuracy and production efficiency while lowering development cost and accelerating time‑to‑market.
