Building a Wireless Remote Monitoring and Management System for China’s Leading Electrical Appliance Manufacturer

Leading Electrical Appliance Manufacturing Company, China’s largest electrical appliance manufacturer, needed a scalable remote monitoring solution at its Guangdong compressor plant to support rapid growth without costly rewiring. Advantech was engaged and supplied EKI-1361 wireless device servers together with WebAccess/SCADA HMI software to connect hundreds of serial sensors over Wi‑Fi and integrate machine data into a central dashboard.

Advantech deployed EKI-1361 units to forward serial sensor data to Wi‑Fi access points and then to control-room servers, where WebAccess displays real‑time machine status. Advantech’s solution eliminated routine on‑site inspections, minimized redeployment and cabling effort, reduced manual inspection labor, and provided centralized, scalable visibility across multiple factories so staff can manage equipment remotely.
