Brilliant in Every Field Advantech-DLoG A Great Manufacturing Asset for Egger

Fritz Egger GmbH & Co., a German wood‑panel manufacturer with 16 factories, faced frequent computer shutdowns and high failure rates on its production lines and in logistics due to dust, heat, vibration and impact in the factory environment. These outages disrupted the HYDRA MES, delayed production and deliveries, and increased maintenance costs, so the company needed rugged, industrial‑grade hardware that could withstand harsh conditions. Advantech (Advantech‑DLoG) was selected to provide that rugged computing solution.

Advantech deployed industrial MPC6 units and DLT‑V83 rugged tablets integrated with Egger’s HYDRA system across production and logistics, offering IP66 dust/water protection, fanless Intel Core i5 performance, high impact/vibration tolerance and glove‑friendly touchscreens plus scanning for traceability. The Advantech solution eliminated the frequent shutdowns, improved production efficiency and real‑time monitoring, reduced shipping/quantity errors by enabling early correction, and will be rolled out to other Egger factories to extend these measurable gains.
