Automotive Company faced the challenge of controlling high-speed, model-flexible robotic assembly lines while collecting sensor data, displaying task instructions at each workstation, and enabling edge intelligence and remote monitoring in a harsh industrial environment. To meet these needs they worked with Advantech, deploying the compact, fanless ARK-2250 embedded computer and Advantech’s WISE‑PaaS/RMM IoT software to provide ruggedized compute, display outputs, and an IoT platform for integration.

Advantech implemented ARK-2250 units mounted on robotic monitor arms with lockable cables, connected to sensors, actuators and a backend SQL Server, and used WISE‑PaaS/RMM to build dashboards and remote monitoring/control. The solution delivers onsite operator guidance, archives production data for analysis, enables immediate shutdown on detected faults to avoid damage and financial loss, and gives managers browser- and mobile-access to line status—improving reliability, scalability for model changes, and operational visibility.
