A Advantech Case Study
Automobile Manufacturing Company faced inconsistent, manual assembly and quality-control processes across welding, painting, forging and testing stages, with limited expansion capacity and high equipment costs when combining motion control, PoE cameras and vision systems. To address these challenges, Advantech provided its MIC-7500 compact, fanless industrial PC platform (with iModule/iDoor support) to consolidate multi-axis control, machine vision and PoE/USB interfaces into a single solution.
Advantech implemented the MIC-7500 with add-on cards such as the PCI-1245 motion control and PCIE-1674E PoE card, integrating robotic-arm imaging, centralized databases and instant feedback loops to streamline operations. As a result, Advantech enabled centralized management, improved quality control with faster inspection feedback, reduced the need for multiple systems (lowering equipment costs) and increased overall production efficiency.
