SolusGuard partnered with Advanta Design to create the ORA personal alert system, a discreet distress call button. The key challenge was to design a device that avoided the appearance of a medical product, ensuring it was dignified, seamlessly integrated into the user's life, and was acceptable for a broad range of personas. This required significant miniaturization of components and overcoming technical hurdles related to ergonomics, waterproofing, and manufacturing.

Advanta Design developed a modular system that could be discreetly concealed within jewelry or snapped into a frame. The solution prioritized user comfort and discretion through extensive user testing and by pivoting their design approach to cater to the new audience. Advanta also assisted with content generation for a crowdfunding campaign. The project's success was underpinned by a collaborative process with the client and securing a suitable manufacturing supplier to maintain quality standards.
