The goal was to create an exciting and durable device with a new display and top-notch user interface that would appeal to players of all ages while being cost-effective to manufacture and maintain.

The solution implemented by Advanta Design was the Gen4 Phaser, a sci-fi-inspired device featuring an ergonomic design tested for both children and adults. Advanta employed a two-shot plastic molding process for enhanced durability and safety and designed a modular electronics system for easy on-site repairs and part replacement. This rugged phaser, which includes features like LED effects and a magnetic trigger, reduced total ownership costs for Lazer Runner and provided them with a significant competitive edge in the market.
