Innerspec Technologies INC builds a field-ready VØLTA backpack in 2018 with Advanta Design

Innerspec Technologies Inc. approached Advanta Design with the challenge of creating a specialized backpack to carry their VØLTA device. The project was daunting for Advanta Design, as they lacked expertise in designing ergonomic soft goods and had to determine whether to manufacture a backpack from scratch or find a suitable existing product to build upon.

Advanta Design solved this by identifying an OEM backpack to use as a foundation. They developed a durable hard-shell case using a niche vacuum forming process with ballistic fabric laminate for protection. The solution included internal components to secure the VØLTA, modular access points for connectors and handling, and a front opening for thermal management. Through extensive prototyping and testing, Advanta Design successfully delivered a field-ready, protective carrying case that met the client's needs.
