Blackline Safety wins Red Dot with Advanta Design’s IP67 G7 gas detector

Blackline Safety sought to revolutionize the personal gas detection sector by moving beyond conventional lone worker monitors. They aimed to develop a connected safety device that could integrate gas sensors to provide new value for their customers and penetrate this new market. To achieve this, they partnered with the vendor Advanta Design.

Advanta Design helped develop the G7, a disruptive device featuring 3G connectivity, a two-way speakerphone, and live monitoring. The solution included interchangeable modular sensors within a water-tight, IP67-rated and intrinsically safe housing, alongside a complete ecosystem of accessories. The product was a resounding success, transforming the industry and winning the prestigious 2017 Red Dot Award for its innovation, functionality, and design quality. Advanta Design's work established a design blueprint that became the flagship for Blackline Safety's future product line expansion.
