The University of Manchester generates £1.8m in efficiencies via eProcurement

The University of Manchester needed a more efficient, compliant purchasing process that could integrate with Oracle ERP while improving control over spend, supplier contracts, and product pricing data. It chose Advanced Cloud Marketplace and e-invoicing from Advanced to support eProcurement across the university’s large user base.

Advanced implemented a solution that integrated with the university’s Oracle finance system, gave over 4,100 users access to a simpler ordering experience, and reduced manual intervention in procurement. The results included more than 56,000 purchase orders in a year, around 20,000 invoices processed, over £1.8m in efficiencies, and more than £100k in savings, alongside better contract compliance and lower transactional costs.
