A Advanced Case Study
Gloucestershire NHS Procurement Shared Service needed to comply with a Department of Health mandate, unify catalogues across three Trusts, improve purchasing efficiency, and keep product and pricing data accurate while increasing control over spend. It turned to Advanced and its eCatalogue/eMarketplace service to provide a single, managed catalogue across key suppliers.
Advanced implemented an externally managed, integrated eCatalogue linked to the Trusts’ finance systems, enabling over 2,500 users to order clinical and routine supplies with validated purchase orders. The result was more than 32,000 orders raised in nearly a year, delivering an estimated £460,000 in procurement efficiencies, reducing transactional costs, and improving data accuracy and auditability.
