The Leading US Life Insurance Company needed to improve the accuracy and completeness of its systems documentation to better support application maintenance, development, and onboarding for outsourced projects. It also wanted to reduce the time, effort, and cost of documenting production applications while improving change impact analysis and mapping application and data relationships. Advanced provided Application Analyser, a cloud-based discovery solution.

Advanced implemented Application Analyser as a centralized cloud repository after a successful proof of concept, first applying it to the company’s consumer insurance line of business. The solution discovered more than 25,000 JCL jobs and was rolled out across 230 applications, covering over 80 million lines of code and more than 15 technologies. As a result, Advanced helped create a more complete and accessible documentation environment that improved productivity and made it easier to extend access to internal teams and external service providers.
