Advanced Systems Concepts, Inc. (ASCI) Cooks Up a Comprehensive Job Scheduling Solution For Whataburger

Whataburger, Inc., the Southern U.S. restaurant chain with more than 700 stores, needed to modernize and centralize its batch processing and gain near‑real‑time sales and cash analysis across its restaurants. To address this, Whataburger selected Advanced Systems Concepts, Inc.'s ActiveBatch® Workload Automation and Enterprise Job Scheduling to manage its central data center processes.

Advanced Systems Concepts, Inc. implemented ActiveBatch to orchestrate jobs across JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Informatica PowerCenter, MicroStrategy, Gauss and custom SQL services, using event‑driven triggers and cross‑platform scheduling. Since the Q1 2005 rollout Whataburger has seen improved data‑center and batch performance and can obtain near‑real‑time sales information from all 700 stores, enabling faster sales/cash analysis and plans to extend automation to restaurant back‑office systems.
