A Advanced Kiosks Case Study
The Prince William County Circuit Court Clerk faced significant challenges providing services to its large population, including limited courthouse hours, lengthy travel times for residents relying on public transit, and a need for multilingual and socially distanced options during COVID-19. To improve accessibility, Clerk Jacqueline Smith partnered with Advanced Kiosks to deploy self-service kiosks for handling a wide array of court services.
Advanced Kiosks implemented a solution using its Document Kiosks and Kiosk Office Suite software, deploying 11 units in courthouses, libraries, and administrative centers. The kiosks provided 24/7 access, a multilingual interface, and ADA-compliant hardware for essential services. The results included overwhelmingly positive public reception, reduced staff workload, and enhanced operational efficiency. The deployment was so successful it was expanded using state grants, with the Clerk praising the system for its flawless performance and meaningful communication with every user.
