Equity Residential delivers 111 luxury homes with Advanced Glazings Ltd.

The customer, Equity Residential, faced the challenge of designing a luxury apartment building in Chelsea, New York, that needed to provide residents with both views and privacy. They wanted to move beyond standard windows to create bright, open interiors within compact urban homes. Vendor Advanced Glazings Ltd. provided their Solera translucent glazing to help address this architectural challenge.

Advanced Glazings Ltd.'s solution was to implement a façade that combined their Solera translucent glazing with traditional vision glass. This allowed transparent glass to be used for direct views of the city and High Line, while the translucent zones provided soft, distributed daylight and privacy. The result was a distinctive building identity and 111 residences that feel bright, open, and considered from the inside, contributing to the project achieving National Green Building Standard Silver Certification.
