A Advanced Data Systems Corporation Case Study

Preview of the Greenwich Radiological Group Case Study

How a Radiology Practice Remains in the Forefront of Automation Technology for 29 Years and Counting

Greenwich Radiological Group (GRG), founded in 1957 in Greenwich, CT, is a multi-site imaging practice offering both diagnostic and interventional radiology. Facing the operational complexity of multiple locations, diverse workflows, and later the regulatory challenge of Meaningful Use (MU) for radiology, GRG needed a modern, integrated automation platform to streamline scheduling, billing, and clinical documentation while preserving seamless PACS integration.

GRG partnered with Advanced Data Systems (ADS) beginning in 1988 and migrated from Medics II to ADS’ MedicsPM, MedicsRIS and MedicsEHR for Radiology. The suite delivered automated billing/EDI, claims denial management, advanced scheduling, digital transcription, mammography tracking, patient pre-cert/eligibility alerts, a referrer portal, and an MU dashboard plus hands-on training. The result: tighter workflows, improved revenue capture, successful MU attestation in January 2014 with incentives received soon after, and a decades-long, ongoing partnership that keeps GRG at the forefront of radiology automation.
