Sequachee Valley Electric Cooperative (SVEC), an electric utility in Tennessee, needed to provide its rural members with fast, dependable, and affordable internet to support community growth and economic development. To meet this challenge, SVEC launched its subsidiary SVEConnect and partnered with ADTRAN for a technological solution.

ADTRAN, alongside engineering services from FiberRise, implemented its Total Access 5000 Gigabit services architecture to build SVEConnect's fiber network. This solution delivered multi-gigabit fiber access, providing the community with internet speeds 100 times faster than previously available. The project enabled life-changing impacts, driving economic growth by attracting new businesses and improving educational opportunities for the rural area.
