Preview of the Pelican Bay Case Study

Pelican Bay Deploys Innovative Business Model to Ensure High-reliability and Highperformance Residential Broadband

Pelican Bay, a large private community in Florida, was dissatisfied with its existing internet service provider due to poor reliability, slow speeds, and inadequate customer service. With a contract expiring, the community's infrastructure committee sought a new, future-proof solution to provide high-performance broadband for its 6,500 residents. They engaged Adtran, through their service provider partner Summit Broadband, to deploy a Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network.

The solution implemented was the Adtran Total Access 5000 FTTH platform. This provided the community with a highly reliable and scalable network capable of delivering ultra-broadband speeds from 100 Mbps up to 1 Gigabit. The deployment ensured seamless connectivity for all residents and established a unique business model with strong accountability and weekly service reviews. As a result, Adtran's technology enabled Pelican Bay to future-proof its communications, support a range of high-bandwidth activities, and ensure strong property values, all while receiving superior customer service.
