UNICEF Polish National Committee in Warsaw, a long-standing national charity working on children’s rights and international aid, needed reliable monitoring for its Cisco-based network (two firewalls, one router, five switches, five servers and about 30 workstations). Administrators had been missing alerts for key services (DNS, DHCP, MySQL) and after evaluating several tools selected NetCrunch for its price/quality ratio.

NetCrunch was deployed to monitor network devices and servers, providing a hierarchical main map, separate subnet views and automated e-mail reports—support also helped resolve a RAID disk-space monitoring issue. As a result, the team now receives timely notifications about service problems and, since deployment, there have been no critical incidents requiring emergency alerts.
