COF Training Services, a Kansas-based nonprofit that provides residential, vocational and support services to individuals with developmental disabilities, needed a way to manage a mixed multi-vendor network (Novell and Windows servers, Cisco routers/switches and 80 workstations) with a single administrator. The existing approach relied on multiple platform-specific tools and manual device checks, making it hard to get a real-time, cross-platform view of performance, detect faults quickly, or plan capacity.
They deployed AdRem NetCrunch, which was up and running in about 30 minutes and provided automatic network discovery, single-screen topology and IP maps, flexible threshold alerts and historical performance charts. The result: centralized, remote monitoring that saved roughly an hour a day, improved awareness of asset utilization, faster problem detection and higher administrator productivity, enabling better capacity planning and service quality.
