Cellcom LTD, Israel’s largest mobile operator with over 3.3 million subscribers, needed to keep its telecommunication platforms and services running with maximum uptime. Amir Fishler, system engineering team leader in Cellcom’s Value Added Services, faced the challenge of monitoring systems that have limited support for third‑party add‑ons and therefore required an agentless, low‑impact monitoring solution.
Cellcom deployed NetCrunch as a complementary monitoring tool; its agentless architecture, simple installation/upgrade and backup/restore, configurable real‑time dashboard, detailed event log and flexible alerting (SMS, email, user/group assignment) enabled fast fault detection and effective preventive maintenance. Practical benefits included alarms for abnormal process behavior and trend‑driven changes (e.g., rescheduling backups), resulting in better problem investigation, fewer service disruptions and higher overall uptime.
