A ADP Case Study
MAS Restaurant Group, which operates 111 Taco Bell locations in Ohio and Texas with about 2,500 employees, faced a highly manual payroll process that required printing, sorting and shipping thousands of paper checks each pay period. Weather and shipping delays often prevented on-time pay and required reprinting or in-person deliveries, creating significant labor and administrative burden.
MAS implemented ADP Workforce Now and the Wisely by ADP pay card, supported by targeted training and bilingual materials, to move to fully electronic payroll. The change eliminated 21,915 physical checks annually, saved roughly $98,000 in the first year, cut payroll processing time (recovering about three days a month), improved reporting and compliance, and freed managers from distribution issues while achieving broad employee adoption (45% Wisely, 55% direct deposit).
