A ADP Case Study
Reading Cooperative Bank (RCB), a community-owned bank founded in 1886 with about 92 employees and expanding branches around Reading, MA, needed to modernize talent and HR processes. When CHRO Maxine Hart joined in 2014 she found recruiting cumbersome and time-consuming—HR was overwhelmed by high candidate volumes (many unqualified) and paper-based benefits and time-off administration—making it hard to recruit strategically across diverse communities.
RCB implemented ADP Workforce Now, using its recruitment module plus self-service benefits and time-off features, which put hiring managers directly into the hiring process, sped up time-to-hire, and reduced administrative errors. The result: streamlined recruiting, empowered managers and employees, a lighter HR workload, more accurate benefits enrollment, and access to workforce data to support smarter staffing decisions.
