Belle Tire, founded in 1922 and operating 125 locations across Michigan, Indiana and Ohio, faced a tight labor market while expanding into new markets and needed to fill hard-to-hire roles. Although the company valued veterans’ skills, it had no formal veteran hiring program and wanted a structured approach to tap military talent to support growth and strengthen its workforce.

Partnering with ADP Recruitment Process Outsourcing, Belle Tire implemented a national military recruiting strategy—live and virtual career events, veteran-centric branding and social campaigns, targeted outreach, and partnerships with organizations like USO Pathfinder and Wounded Warrior Project—while embedding ADP veteran recruiters into its talent team. The initiative increased veteran hires by 57% year-over-year, raised veterans to over 11% of all hires, improved diversity (over 80% self-identified as racial minorities or protected veterans), boosted retention and earned recognition as a military-friendly employer.
