Celestica, a Toronto-based supply chain solutions company with 27,000 employees across 13 countries, needed to modernize HR to support its borderless operations. The company faced slow recruitment and onboarding, heavy reliance on paper-based HR forms, inconsistent manager self-service, and the challenge of readying systems and data for a global transformation.

Working with ADP and SAP SuccessFactors, Celestica migrated 14 years of data and rolled out Employee Central across 24 countries in 14 months using a “lift-and-replace” approach and a mix of do-it-yourself and ADP-led implementation. The cloud HCM solution eliminated paper workflows, improved manager and employee self-service, enabled payroll integration and compliance across languages and regions, saved an estimated 99,000 manager hours annually, and shifted HR teams from transactional work to strategic support.
