TrueBlue, a leading staffing and workforce solutions provider ( PeopleReady is its on-demand brand), connects hundreds of thousands of workers to jobs across 800+ U.S. locations. The company faced a major operational and safety challenge: paying daily workers with paper checks and on-site cashing created security risks, required branches to process payroll late each day, and forced employees to return to the branch to collect pay.
TrueBlue implemented Wisely by ADP as a daily pay option, enabling end-of-shift funding via the myWisely app and virtual/physical pay cards so employees see pay in seconds and no longer need branch visits. The change cut branch workload and costs (check stock, printers, headcount), improved worker security and convenience, and achieved strong adoption—about 94% of PeopleReady workers—while TrueBlue has funded $5.3B on the Wisely pay card and paid over 1.3M employees since launch.
