Bank of the West is a regional bank of about 10,000 employees across 19 states committed to environmental sustainability and diversity, equity and inclusion. The company needed to ensure its workforce reflected its diverse customer base and to modernize legacy, highly customized HR, payroll and benefits systems that created inefficiencies and manual workarounds.

Bank of the West strengthened top-down D&I leadership, launched multiple employee resource groups, and partnered closely with ADP to migrate to ADP Vantage HCM using a “no customization” approach and industry best practices. The integrated platform and mobile access reduced errors and HR calls, deepened the vendor relationship, improved employee experience and earned external recognition—including ADP’s Humanity at Work award, consecutive 100% HRC scores and Forbes accolades for inclusive workplace practices.
