Case Study: Motown CPL, Inc. achieves payroll time and cost savings with ADP Workforce Now (ADP)

A ADP Case Study

Preview of the Motown CPL, Inc. Case Study

Baking time and cost savings into the payroll process

Motown CPL, Inc., a Livonia, Michigan bakery wholesaler that supplies 74 fast-food locations daily, was managing payroll and timekeeping with spreadsheets and manual card systems amid high hourly turnover. Administrative manager Dean Koulouras needed a simpler, more accurate way to handle payroll, time & attendance, PTO liability and hiring/termination workflows.

They implemented ADP Workforce Now with ADP-approved time clocks (including facial recognition) and employee self-service. The change reduced payroll staffing from a full-time role to one or two part-timers, saved about 15–20 hours per biweekly pay cycle, improved visibility into pay, PTO and taxes, automated hiring/terminations, and freed capacity to support growth (an estimated 15–25 additional staff and a larger facility).
