How Wooster Community Hospital saved half a million dollars

Wooster Community Hospital, a 173-bed healthcare provider in Ohio with 1,300 employees, needed a better way to manage scheduling, PTO, employee data, and compliance across siloed, manual systems. Managers lacked timely access to information, employees had limited self-service visibility, and paper-based processes made overtime control, benefits administration, and ACA tracking inefficient. ADP and its ADP® Workforce Manager product were brought in to help modernize these operations.

ADP implemented Workforce Manager to centralize data, automate attendance and benefits processes, and give employees mobile self-service access to hours, PTO, and time-off requests. The result was major operational improvement: 98% of employees can now view their hours, mobile adoption reached 84.3%, almost 2,000 self-service transactions were completed in seven months, and overtime was reduced by $636K versus the prior year. ADP also helped streamline compliance and scheduling, saving time, reducing errors, and improving transparency across the hospital.
