Creative teams were slowed by repetitive tasks—like adding lower thirds, resizing for different social formats, and manual captioning—which threatened speed and scale in a competitive, on-demand market.
Working with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Premiere Rush and related tools), ViacomCBS automated workflows—using Auto Reframe, scripted After Effects templates, and Premiere Rush for on-site capture—while rolling out changes through a creative advisory board. The result: footage can be edited and distributed within minutes, motion-graphics placement time dropped by 95%, and closed captioning for a one-minute clip fell from about 15 minutes to just over one minute.
