Venerated PC Magazine , reinvented for tablets and offering rich interactivity, now published using Adobe® Digital Publishing Suite, Professional Edition

PC Magazine, part of Ziff Davis and a trusted tech brand with a 1.2 million print circulation legacy, faced the challenge of reinventing its long-form, visually rich journalism for tablet readers. After an initial digital run on Zinio that reached 70,000 subscribers but lacked deep interactivity, the publisher sought a tablet-native edition that preserved the tactile, storytelling experience of print while adding richer multimedia, better engagement, and analytics to optimize content.

Ziff Davis partnered with Joe Zeff Design and used Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, Professional Edition to build an ad-free, lightweight iPad app featuring high-resolution imagery, 360° product rotations, live Twitter streams, HTML-customized elements, and built-in analytics. The result is an immersive, “lean-back” experience that improves reader engagement, helps grow and retain paying subscribers, and lets the editorial team refine future issues based on clear metrics while driving downloads through Ziff Davis’s 20 million‑visitor network and targeted marketing.
