A Adobe Case Study
Tomlinson Middle School, a Title I school in Lawton, Oklahoma, faced low student engagement, limited resources, and difficulty connecting classroom learning to real-world careers. Teacher Vanessa Perez sought industry-standard tools to boost confidence, keep students in school, and give them tangible skills in multimedia and digital design.
Through the White House ConnectED initiative, Adobe granted Captivate, Photoshop Elements, and Premiere Elements, enabling projects like “Design Your Own Species,” memorial videos, and blended eLearning. The software increased student engagement and self‑esteem, helped learners master skills at their own pace, and sparked passion for creative careers and college pathways.
