Thomas College adopts Named User Licensing model to expand access to Adobe Creative Cloud apps for faculty, staff, and students

Thomas College, a small liberal-arts college in Waterville, Maine with about 1,000 students, faced rising demand for creative tools across programs and needed a cost-effective way to extend Adobe apps beyond its marketing department. The college’s priorities were to expand access campus-wide, simplify license management for its small IT team, and preserve secure single-sign-on using existing credentials.

Thomas adopted Adobe Creative Cloud for enterprise with Named User Licensing, integrated with its Microsoft Azure/Office 365 Active Directory and SCCM, plus Shared Device Licenses for labs. The change cut install and deployment time from roughly 30 minutes to just minutes, enabled students and faculty to sign in with their Thomas email and password on any device, and gave IT greater automation, control, and security while making Creative Cloud broadly available across campus.
