The George Washington University adopts remote access model with Adobe Anywhere

The George Washington University, a large Washington, DC institution, faced an outdated and fragile media IT environment—relying on discontinued Apple servers and cumbersome storage—that limited students to on‑campus labs and made collaborative, remote video production difficult. IT leaders needed a modern, enterprise storage and software solution that would enable remote work and collaboration without disrupting classroom instruction.

GW implemented Adobe Anywhere on its enterprise SAN alongside Adobe Creative Cloud for enterprise (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Dreamweaver, Muse, etc.), rolling the platform into advanced and introductory media courses. The result was an updated post‑production environment, widespread access to current creative apps, reduced lab dependence as students edit remotely, improved project compatibility, and stronger collaboration that doesn’t get in the way of teaching.
