The Cleveland Orchestra enters its Second Century with UX design at the center

The Cleveland Orchestra needed to rethink its digital experience as live performances were limited during the pandemic and audiences increasingly relied on online and mobile channels. Working with Adobe and Adobe XD, the orchestra’s design team set out to create richer digital experiences that would complement concerts and give users more ways to engage with performances, musicians, and ticketing.

Adobe XD was used to prototype and refine the new website, mobile ticket app, streaming service, and digital design system, enabling rapid testing with real concert content and a mobile-first approach. The result was a smoother user experience, faster stakeholder buy-in, improved collaboration, and a more intuitive ticketing flow that provides instant, secure, paperless access to tickets, seating, and parking information; the redesigned site was also nominated for Best Mobile User Interface at the Webby Awards.
