Ryerson University simplified website creation and maintenance while laying a foundation for new social communities and mobile capabilities using Adobe Experience Manager

Ryerson University, a public research university in Toronto serving 28,000 students and drawing over eight million page views per month, needed a simpler, more flexible way to manage its all‑in‑one website. Its legacy CMS was laborious and unintuitive for roughly 600 potential content authors (150–200 daily users), and the university wanted a platform that would also support emerging social and mobile requirements and more efficient file management.

Ryerson implemented Adobe Experience Manager (with Adobe Social) and migrated 134,350 assets to the new platform, replacing multi‑step authoring with one‑click publishing and drag‑and‑drop navigation, and introducing centralized digital asset management. The rollout cut support needs, sped up template changes and page creation, freed the Web Services team to focus on higher‑value projects, and established a foundation for future social and mobile features—feedback from users has been very positive.
