Roland - Customer Case Study

Roland UK revived Power On, its award-winning specialist magazine, as a digital publication to better reach and inspire musicians and aspiring musicians while reinforcing the company’s creative brand and reducing publishing costs. After print production stopped in 2010, Roland needed a content-rich, engaging format that showcased editorial advice, artist features and product stories in ways that appeal to tablet users.

Using Adobe Digital Publishing Suite and Adobe InDesign, Roland created an interactive iPad edition—with audio, video, 360° product views and localised editions—produced in-house to shorten development cycles and control costs. The app now appears in over 110 app stores worldwide, is translated into multiple languages, drives strong audience engagement (especially video), and lets Roland measure reader behavior to guide future editions.
